You know how when you go to a place with a person, especially for the first time,
your collective memory sort of owns that physical place? Depending on the severity of your commitment, their presence in that place ends up owning a fair amount of your attention should you happen to return.
Or perhaps it was just really fun to do something with someone but then they try to do it with someone else and clearly, it’s just not as fun.
I think I saw that happen to someone else today.
