You’ve got to respect a song that only takes up about a minute, like almost every Minor Threat song. It’s concise and, when done correctly, can illicit ephemeral joy. Palatka’s The End of Irony (1999) does a pretty good job of this too. Plus, if you are lucky enough to have the actual record, you get an entire side of it covered in patriotic cartoon carvings of nuclear families intermingled with military officers. Because the songs are so short. Because it’s ironic. This is Rate Times Time Equals Distance.
