who are your role models?

So I’m 27 now. I guess. Whatever that means. I’m pondering what teenagers are learning these days. These kids have no recollection of a pre-internet world. Zines are classic now. The teens get cellphones super early. They don’t seem to enjoy their privacy as much.
I don’t want to get all back-in-my-day. So I won’t. But it was different. And yes, I think I’m better for having recollections of an analog world.
I joined the YMCA last week and went to workout today. I was in the locker room with many small children. I wonder if these city kids will have an easier time than I did, growing up in the new gentrified New York. Affluence can protect you, but I’m sure if you try hard enough you can seek out trouble here or anywhere. Maybe the internet makes it easier. But I wish them luck. Lots of people don’t make it.
