A little while back I talked a little about how Barack Obama would eventually win the Democratic nomination and soon after coverage of his campaign would include  thinly veiled racist attacks.  Guess what?  It’s happened already.  Fox News had the stones to call Michele Obama Barack’s “Baby Mama.”  They even put it on the crawl.  Hillary Clinton only dropped out of the race last weekend.  Sigh.  To his credit, though, Barack’s campaign has done a terrific job rebutting conservative and racist attacks.  However, this is only the beginning.
I was listening to NPR recently and during the hourly news round-up they played an interview with an older female Clinton supporter discussing who she’ll support in November.  Her response: “I’m a Jewish woman and Obama scares me.”  She repeated it several times.
If you are an American that can’t get over one minor biological detail to see the leadership potential in Barack Obama, then please stay home in November.
